Application:
Potassium carbonate is one of the important basic inorganic chemical, pharmaceutical and light industrial raw materials. It is mainly used in the production of optical glass, welding rods, electron tubes, television picture tubes, light bulbs, printing and dyeing, dyes, inks, photographic chemicals, sodium carbonate, polyester, explosives, electroplating, leather making, ceramics, building materials, crystal, potassium soap and medicines. It is used as a gas adsorbent, dry powder fire extinguishing agent, and rubber antioxidant. It is also used to remove carbon dioxide from fertilizer synthesis gas. It can also be used as a potassium fertilizer. With the continuous development of high-tech, the application of potassium carbonate in detergent additives, monosodium glutamate, food and other fields is also expanding.
Usage Guidelines:
Hygroscopic Nature: As it readily absorbs moisture, Potassium Carbonate should be stored in tightly sealed containers to prevent caking and degradation.
Handling: Always use gloves, protective clothing, and safety goggles when handling Potassium Carbonate to avoid skin and eye irritation.
Storage: Store in a dry, cool place in tightly sealed containers to prevent the compound from absorbing moisture from the air.
Concentration: In food processing, typical concentrations range from 0.1-0.5% depending on the application. In glass manufacturing, it is used in higher concentrations as a fluxing agent.
