Application:
Skin Care:Resorcinol is widely used in products for acne, eczema, and hyperpigmentation treatment due to its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and skin brightening effects.It can be used as whitening agent 4-butylresorcinol and hexylresorcinol.
Resorcinol is mainly used in rubber adhesives, synthetic resins, dyes, preservatives, medicines and analytical reagents. Resorcinol is similar to phenol and cresol. It forms polycondensates with formaldehyde and can be used to make viscose and tire cord adhesives for nylon, prepare wood adhesives, and bond vinyl materials to metals.
Resorcinol is an intermediate for many azo dyes and fur dyes, and is also a raw material for the pharmaceutical intermediate p-nitro salicylic acid.
Resorcinol is an important raw material for the production of benzophenone ultraviolet absorbers.
Bis(diphenylphosphonic acid)resorcinol ester synthesized from resorcinol is a non-halogen flame retardant with high thermal stability. It is suitable for modified polyethers, polycarbonates, ABS resins, various thermoplastic resins, polyurethanes and other plastics.
